Christian Sayings

Have you noticed how Christians have their own religious lingo? They use words and sayings like: "saved by the blood," "ask Jesus into your heart,"  "fellowship,"  "quiet time," "a hedge of protection,"  "traveling mercies," "anointed," "the Body of Christ," "lay hands on" and the ever disturbing "washed by the blood." Many of these phrases cause those on the outside of religion, look at religious people with skepticism. Even though I was in the church, there were strange things that caused me to pause...things like “let Jesus come into you” or “eat His body.”

It’s almost like the religions of the world speak a different language. In essence they do. Now I find these and many other sayings humorous. I must have sounded like an idiot. To be honest many of these phrases are not found in the Bible. This language is a man-made method to try and explain things. In my opinion, they fail.

So why do I bring this up? Those of us who have left religion can be easily triggered by these phrases. We also go to great links to try and remove this language from our vocabulary. Why is removing this lingo from your vocabulary so important? The lingo/vocabulary has a set of beliefs and guidelines attached to it. These have been deep rooted in our minds. To heal from trauma the way we think must change. Do you want to heal from this indoctrination? Please do not be a prisoner any longer. Set up a free discovery call with me. Have a great day.
